Cesvi has been one of the first INGOs intervening in Libya, as soon as the Arab Spring begun in 2011 and is carrying out a Humanitarian Protection Program in Tripoli and Misrata within different settings, included Gender-based Violence program since 2016.
The project “Protection and Life Saving Assistance to refugees and asylum seekers in Libya”, funded by UNHCR intends to promote a favourable Protection environment for refugees and asylum seekers in Tripoli. Project activities are provided within the Community Development Center.
The IMO will be responsible for the day to day management of the databases according to field staff needs. The IMO will be responsible for reviewing key tools and processes related to information management, supporting Cesvi field staff with implementing those tools and processes, as well as designing and performing analyses on available data to detect trends and measure the performance of the Vulnerability Assessment and other data collection activities, and producing maps to visualize available data.
He/she will also monitor data collection to identify inconsistencies, and offering solutions and best practices to address recurring issues.
The IMO tasks would include the development and revision of assessments tools and information management systems and the training of field staff on their usage, support on analysis of available data, and the production of information products (factsheets, ad-hoc analysis, reports, maps, etc.) coordinated by the M&E department to inform project management on the progress of interventions and the needs of the affected populations
Specific tasks and responsibilities:
Assist the field mission in data entry, database use and troubleshooting, when required.
Provision of data to the field team as required for day to day implementation of activities
Ensures data entry on different databases
Perform weekly backup of the system
Develops and updates specifications for automated monitoring reports to be generated
Develop and improve ODK/Kobo forms for survey templates.
Contribute in the development of a mission level dashboard
Assist with the development of querying and reporting functionality
Assist in the drafting and validation of standard operating procedures for data collection and
management.
Regularly liaise with field colleagues, for updates, events, developing best practices and lessons
learned and other initiatives.
Contribute in the design, develop and manage databases, spreadsheets and other data tools;
understand, document, and ensure the quality of high-value humanitarian data for accuracy consistency and comparability; consolidate operational information on a regular schedule to support analysis
Train key project staff members on data collection system
Provides support to staff on data management aspects of the surveys, including training teams on
using tablets, and troubleshooting data collection challenges that arise with tablets.

the Prevention of Sexual Harassment;
Represent CESVI in a professional manner in meetings and ensure good cooperation with local
partners and other relevant actors;
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated experience designing and troubleshooting electronic data collection tools, especially tablets and mobile device data capture applications.
Familiarity with data collection software such as Open Data Kit (ODK)/ONA/Kobo
Familiarity with Power Bi and Power Query
Demonstrated experience designing study databases including data quality checks and data
collection monitoring reports.
Proficiency with SAS or STATA statistical software.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with Excel VBA functions and pivot tables
Ability to work independently and manage various tasks under tight deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
Minimum two (2) years of related experience designing, managing and working directly with
databases from large research studies.
Excellent English language skills and Arabic language are essential.
